Paintball question??? Does this make any sense?

I know that paintball pistols are fair game...but what advantage do they have? I have a friend who's played and thinks that besides a sniper rifle, only a mid range, high capacity, full auto weapon is worth carrying in the game. "For the weight of a pistol, I'd rather just carry extra Co2".

I think it'd be a great weapon of last resort, just like real combat. when you're low on Co2, low on ammo, and god forbid your PRIMARY weapon crapped out on you, it's good to have a pistol to make every shot count when in a pinch.

What do you think? Are pistols a waste of time, in Paintball?

Well i played in the SPPL league which stands for Scenario Paintball Players League, besides are primary weapon, players were aloud to carry secondary weapons ( had to meet the rules/standards) which usually was a paintball pistol.....

in the SPPL games last 1 hr and every 10 mins there is a respawn ( meaning if you get killed you can come back into play on those 10min intervals), anywho a pistol is a great secondary weapon, if your air/CO2 on your primary runs low, your gun malfunctions, etc.....I wouldnt recomend getting in a heated gun fight, because your probably going to lose the battle, but if you can be stealthy and silent, the pistol makes for a good seoncdary and tacticial situations just like real life.....

Also the pistol is good for practice, myself and my cousin who is one of my teammates have played in many situations with just are pistol as are primary weapon, it helps with accuracy, being stealthy and has helped my game out will playing in the pros with my primary weapon....

I wouldnt recomend using as a primary gun in speedball/hyper ball but if your just playing recreation or woodsball i think its a good idea to have it......
