Paintball: Spyder MR1 or MR2 w/ EYE?
I'm kind of new to paintballing, and I'm going to buy a gun. I can't tell a difference between the MR1 and MR2 w/ eye.
Anybody know?
Eyes are sensors that won't allow your gun to fire until it "sees" that there is a paintball fully loaded in the breech. this helps reduce chopping (when a paintball is not fully loaded when you pull the trigger and the bolt chops the paintball, releasing the contents of the paintball into your gun. this is bad because every shot after a chop will result in terrible accuracy. each shot will curve uncontrollably in every and any direction, until you clean out your gun. So, eyes are a wonderful feature to look for in a paintball gun.)
The mr1 is a mechanical marker, no electronics whatsoever. can only shoot semi, unless you invest in en electronic grip, which will allow for faster fire rates.
The mr2 comes with an electronic trigger, and the eyes make it a better buy. The mr2 is often considered the mr1's big brother.
