Paintball Chest Guard
Paintball? Need some tips and techniques.?
Hey!
I am going paintballing next week at West Edmonton Mall. They will supply us with the guns, the paintballs, a guard for your chest, and a helmet.
1) They charge $32 for 200 Balls and $50 for 500 balls; both for unlimited times until you run out; the CO2 or pumping thing is free. Which is better?
2) What are some good protections I should wear?
3) What can I do so I can shoot more, and get hit less?
1. Pick $50 for 500.
$32 for 200 balls works out to $4 per 25 balls. $50 for 500 balls works out to $1 per 10 balls. If you choose option two, you could get 40 balls instead of 25 for that same $4.
2. If the helmet, for some strange reason, does not have eye protection that covers both your eyes and around you eyes, go home and never go back. Ideally, it should cover your entire face, so as to avoid getting your teeth shot out.
Also, paint balls leave welts. Weather permitting, don't wear thin T-shirts. Don't wear super heavy clothing though, as you will overheat.
3. Here are some tips:
You're going to get hit, accept it.
Know where you're going before you start going there.
Go from cover spot to cover spot.
Open space is not your friend.
If you think you see someone hiding, but you aren't sure if its a person, shoot at it anyway.
People are where you least expect them to be.
Check every corner.
If you couldn't imagine someone hiding in a spot, maybe because hiding there would be stupid or plain useless, then someone is there.
If you could imagine hiding in a spot, then someone is there.
Assume someone knows where you are and is coming for you.
Assume someone always sees you.
Assume everyone sees you when you are shooting, and that they are all coming for you.
Don't bother conserving your ammo, your opponent will not.
