Are you supposed to freeze CO2?

I have a 20oz CO2 tank for paintball and im wondering if refridgerating/ freezing the tank preserves CO2
Thats what ive heard THX

Putting it in the freezer will do nothing to preserve it. Some guys will put a bottle in the freezer to make it easier to fill, that's probably where the story you heard started.
