Sly Merc half-gloves or BT combat gloves?

I'm looking to replace an old pair of paintball gloves. The gloves I choose will be used in scenario games almost exclusively. Comfort and ease of cleaning are top priority, since both options seem to provide similar palm support. Is the thumb protection on the BT pair useful? Does anyone who's used a Sly pair miss the lower finger protection of traditional fingerless gloves?

They're both good. My personal preference would be the BT Combats. They're cheaper too.
