Where does the O-ring on my quick release valve on my remote hose of my paintball marker go?.?

I accidently blew off the O-ring on my quick release valve on my remote coil for my paintball marker. I'm not sure where it goes back on. The female end? The male end? Someone please help.

Yes the female end. The male end should be pretty much a rod. Therefore the QD would leave the oring inside the female side. its pretty simple just drop and push in.
