Paintball Protection Chest

Paintball List?

Ok First Of All I Am Very Active And I Am Really Interested In Paintball. So Far I Have Done Alot Of Research But I Want To Make Sure About My Results. I Am Usually Wrong So Feel Free To Correct Me. I Have A Budget Of Around $400. Everytime I Add It Up I Come Up Too Expensive.
Here's My List:

Marker -- new Ions are in that range but so are many used guns (older but still great, like some Intimidators & DM's/PM's). However, these guns are basically restricted to hpa/compressed air - co2 can prove damaging to their internals. If you're dead set on using co2, look into spyders, piranhas & tippmanns.

Tank -- following the previous link to Paintball-Discounters for a cheap hpa tank is a good idea. I don't recommend dealing with ANS - they've proven to be a shady company.

Hopper -- in that range, look into a Viewloader Revolution or Empire Reloader I or II. Again, buying used can serve you well - used Halo or Reloader B's can be found for 50 or less & feed much faster.

Barrel sock - $10 is a lot. Shop around, you'll find some cheaper, like $5. Also, some guns come with their own so keep that in mind (especially if buying new).

Mask -- mask=goggles but it looks like you found that out already. VForce Pro-Vantages are under $50 or VForce Profilers are $60 (if you can save money from a different item, put a little more into your mask purchase).

Protection -- skip the chest/back protector. Trust me, you don't need it. Just wear 2 shirts. Also, the more you play, the more you'll learn how to position yourself properly, in a way that doesn't leave your torso exposed. The most hits i get are in the arms & my gun setup itself.

Harness/pack (pod holder) -- shop around on ActionVillage.com for packs. Many of them come with free pods, too. Just keep in mind $20 isn't really a lot compared to pack prices.

Pods -- $20 is a lot to spend on just 9 pods. That same site i listed under harnesses/packs sells their own pods in bulk for super cheap (6 for $11 or 24 for $30).
