Paintball Tanks. What is the difference between Nitrogen tanks, Compressed Air, and Co2 tanks?
I've been researching about paintball tanks and found different results and would like to confirm some of the information I found on the forums: Compressed Air Tanks can Have pure nitrogen in it and vice versa, Nitrogen Tanks can support only Nitrogen, Co2 Tanks can have more shots than a Compressed Air Tank.
PS: I'm looking forward to buying either a Nitrogen Tank or a Compressed Air Tank. Please Give some advice and information. And Thanks in advanced for your help.
Okay nitrogen and compressed air are the same thing in this matter. A n2 high or low pressure tank can be filled with either substance. Co2 on the other hand is in a liquid state inside the canister and when released outside the valve it turns into a gas state. Co2 is fine with low level electronic markers and most all mechanical markers. The higher end electros use n2 because as a gas it does not fluctuate states and damage internals such as the liquid co2 can. They both shoot around the same amount from each tank depending on size and what marker being used. Most beginner players come up with the myth that n2 makes a gun shoot faster or harder which is completely wrong. The only difference between the two is nitrogen/comp. air is better to use in higher end markers to prevent damage and on any marker that is being used in very cold climates. Cold weather causes co2 to not fully transfer between gas and liquid and the result is frozen orings and/or foam out the barrel. Take care and pbreview.com should help alittle further.
