What does upgrading the bolt on my Tippmann A5 do for my paintball marker.?

Come on!! The A-5 is a fantastic scenario marker. It may be the best.

An aftermarket bolt does NOT affect accuracy. Only paint quality, barrel quality, the user's own skill & environmental conditions affect accuracy.

Anyway, aftermarket bolts typically are lighter so it takes less air to move them and less recoil is created from each shot.

One of the positive side effects is better air efficiency & slight increase in cycling speed, which sometimes translates into faster shooting.

One of the negative side effects, however, could actually be wasting air, especially if the bolt doesn't seal right or the measurements aren't accurate enough. Could also have cycling issues if the marker itself isn't tuned properly (usually not a problem with Tippmanns, as the most tuning a stock tippmann needs is velocity adjustments).

I usually recommend sticking with the stock bolt for any marker, as it's rare to come across a manufacturer that doesn't know how to design a bolt for their own gun.
