Paintball -- CO2 vs Compressed Air?
second time same story, new paintball gun, new to sport, want to fill own tanks
what are the differences with CO2 and Comp'd. air
is it safe to use Comp'd air
what pressure should i fill it to
how much does it cost to have a "professional" fill it
any and all answers are highly appreciated, with the exception of warnings. PLEASE don't tell me it's not safe, i read the warning label, i ripped it off, i have the fitting, i dont care. no offence intended, i would just prefer answers resticted to the question.

CO2 is much more "volatile" it gets significantly colder under high flow, it expands much more readily, and has a tendancy to freeze seals and internal parts.
HPA/Compressed Air is less volatile, and generally not damaging to gun internals
If you're shooting co2 now with no problems stick with it. HPA is an expensive upgrade and I would really only do it if you move to a high end gun that needs hpa to shoot safely. All fills are "professional" co2 it runs around $5 for a fill. Same for HPA. If you've ripped off the lable you are just stupid. But somewhere on the tank it will tell you the fill pressure. If its CO2 it is filled by WEIGHT meaning you will need a scale. HPA is filled either to 3000, or 4500 psi and it will be stamped somewhere on the bottle. And you should never fill compressed air into a co2 bottle or the other way around. They are made from different materials and arent the same.
