Pistol Paintball Guns
New paintball guns?
i got two new guns a rebel and a pistol that shoots a .68 calibur ball is there an oil i need to get before i just load and shoot or what and does it matter between nitrogen tanks or CO2
Ahh paintball got to love it. I just dug a trench for a game in my woods :^). Anyway I'm guessing your guns a 32 degrees Rebel? The rebel is a pretty okay starter gun. The pistol no offense is pretty much for show. You probably thought, "oh i'll just pull a pistol out of a holster and peg the guy in the face." Sadly its all about S.A.F. Stealth, Accuracy, Firepower. I tell all newbies to stay quiet shoot when needed when your ready, practice! each gun is very different. Practice shooting straight uphill downhill in the crouch, standing and prone posistions, and finally get your trigger finger ready to rip out serious power when needed. Back to the guns . . .
Most (almost all) paintball guns are .68 calibur. Every paintball at your nearest paintball store should be .68, if not look on the box usually bottom right corner. About the oil . . .
Your gun manual should tell you about where to oil your gun usually where your air tank goes into your gun and in to where your bolt goes. You want everything shooting smoothly. You want to reduce drag for your bolt by oiling your gun this way you will achieve max velocity. Finally nitro v CO2 . . .
I wouldn't worry about it. I doubt rebels take nitro there to low-end. With your pistol it probably takes a 12 gram CO2. But nitro tanks or HPA (high pressure air) are mainly used for pros/speedballers. I'm guessing your a fellow woodsballer? Well CO2 isn't bad for your gun but it dosen't hurt it. It is a cheap propellent that can be obtained at any sporting goods store. However when converted into a gas it becomes cold very cold! Your gun gets cold and expands. This can potentially damage your gun but i doubt it will could crack o-rings on your gun so make sure you have extras. With a nitro tank depending on psi/ high or low output/ and tank size you can get a very different varitey of shot, mainly more then a CO2 tank. This nitro is more effiecient for you gun as well and does not "freeze your gun" as much as CO2. Thats all I can say happy shooting!
